1. The 7:39

The 7:39 title is simplistic and uses the word 'The' as a substitution for a colon (:). This makes the title seem as though it is a time (7:39), linking with the theme of trains in the movie. This is a really creative way of making a title, as it links to the storyboard and the setting at the train station. The font of the title is clear and quite light, it is not heavy, this reflects the genre of the film which is romance, where this genre of film is lighthearted and deep. The title colour is white, which the denotation of this colour reflects things such as perfection, innocence, purity, wholeness and completion. All these words are what a perfect loving relationship is known as, therefore it is clever how they have used this colour.
2. The Boy Next Door
The Boy Next Door title uses simple font and a basic colour of white. However, the plain text is distorted by a diagonal line, creating a broken effect. This gives subtext to the title, implying that the genre is perhaps a horror or a mystery. The fact there is a diagonal line breaking the title, this can also reflect broken relationships or even makes the audience question why the title is being broken. Therefore, again this title is also clever as it reflects the genre of the film and makes the audience automatically question why there is a line through it, which is what the film industry want, as this will make people want to watch the film. Like i have mentioned about the film title above, the font colour of the title is white, which represents innocence, purity, completion, wholeness and perfection. However, as there is a line through this colour, all these denotation words may be broken in the film. There may be an opposite effect in the film, which again makes the audience want to watch the film to find out what is going on.
